Compatible with ½-ton and larger pickup trucks with a two-inch receiver or tractors with a three-point hitch, the Meyer Blaster comes in two sizes to meet your needs: the Blaster-350 with a 6.5-cubic-foot capacity and the Blaster-750 with a 12.8-cubic-foot capacity. The Blaster spreaders are equipped with a patented brush auger, designed to prevent ice melt leakage, a common issue with most tailgate spreaders. The brush auger’s helix design not only prevents material from leaking out of the hopper when not in use but also promotes a more efficient draw down of material from the hopper. This ensures a consistent and even spread, saving you money by reducing material waste.
The Meyer “S” Series Blasters are engineered to create a steady flow of material to the spinner. These models come standard with an on-demand vibrator, a load-bearing baffle plate to reduce pressure on the auger, and a multi-spiked auger that reaches deep into the hopper. Together, these components work to break up coagulated material, ensuring reliable performance even in challenging conditions.
The Blaster spreaders feature a ½ HP direct-drive motor, the toughest and most powerful motor available today. The direct-drive system directly links the motor to the auger, providing up to 75% more power to easily grind through large chunks of material and deliver a consistent spread pattern, even under the toughest conditions. The heavy-duty motor, combined with other durable features, ensures that the Blaster performs reliably year after year.
One-touch operation makes the Blaster spreaders incredibly easy to control. The illuminated in-cab controller (patent pending) offers an on/off switch, blast mode for an on-command 70 amp surge, and vibrate mode. The variable speed controller allows you to regulate the spinner speed, and the spinner automatically stops when the brake is applied, preventing material waste at stop lights. The Blaster also offers a variety of easy-to-install mounting options to suit your needs.
